I think your fabulous products speak for themselves so I wanna give a bit of feedback on Service.
I consider myself a veteran 'Online shopper', living on the West Coast of the South Island we don't have much choice when it comes to shops so I rely a great deal on websites such as yours. Every single shopping experience that I've had with the Sleepstore has been wonderful. Such speedy delivery, and nice little touches like a Freddo. I really love your rewards scheme, it is the best I have ever come across. So great to be able to redeem our loyalty points from purchase to purchase rather than having to build to a specific number (please don't ever change!!!). I admit that I am a bit of a moaner when it comes to shopping and am always sure to complain if I'm unhappy, so the service I get with you guys is just so refreshing.

I ordered a woolbabe winter weight sleeping bag. In the past I have used Go Go bags which I have always been very happy with. However, with a new baby and in a different house which gets very cold at night (approx 14 degrees over winter) the Go Go bag just didn’t seem warm enough. I’m always using your web site for advice and to look for products and saw the woolbabe sleeping bags. With the wool padding inside (rather than cotton which the go go bag uses) it seemed like it would be a better option.

I’m extremely happy with this sleeping bag – my baby has been sleeping beautifully in it and it feels so much warmer than the bag I was previously using. It is also longer then a go go bag – so I imagine will be able to use it to about 2 years old, which although go go bag says it goes to 2 years – my son (who is shorter than average) grew out of it by about 16/18 mths.

Over all, I would say the woolbabe is a superior sleeping bag. I wish they came is adult sizes!!

I am also using the miracle blanket (purchased a couple of mths back from the sleepstore) over the top of the sleeping bag while I’m weaning off swaddling. The miracle blanket by itself is fantastic, but combined with the sleeping bag makes a great combination, and extra snuggly for winter.

At my sons six week check up the doctor noticed he had a flat spot on his head, but said it would correct itself naturally. At his 3 month check up with the plunket nurse she referred me to see the doctor again because it got so bad he couldnt turn his head to the right. We did alot of research on flat head syndrome and found the baby head rest. I brought one straight away and after only two weeks his head has changed shape. It isnt round like it was but now my son easily turns his head both ways and dosen't favor sleeping on a side. I fully recommend this product to anyone who has a baby with or without a flat head.

"My purchase was a gro-bag (second one I have purchased from you). I love the gro-bag. My 19 month old has merino sleeping bags but she wakes up cold in the night once it gets down to 16-17 degrees. In the gro-bag she sleeps all night and wakes up toasty-pie in the morning. Last night it got down to 14 degrees in her room overnight and she was still toasty-pie warm in the morning! The best thing about the gro-bag is it is easy to wash and can be dried in a dryer if necessary. I was a bit concerned as the merino bags are all advertised as being natural/breathable materials and I worried that she would sweat in the gro-bag but this is not the case at all. I always find your website easy to use and anything I order turns up on my doorstep usually the next morning which is fantastic!

Website, service and product are all awesome.

I bought a Woolbabe toddler winter weight sleeping bag and it is just amazingly warm. We have now stopped using a heater at night in our daughters room and have even stopped putting a singlet on her because she is just so warm. It is really really long too so it will last her ages even though she's very tall. The natural fibures make it feel fab too. I really can't rave about it enough.

The advice you sent me regarding the difference between Grobags and Woolbabe bags was also really helpful and what's more it arrived back really quickly so I could still choose my bag and make the free shipping promotion you had running.

As always, your website had amazing detail and information on all the different sleeping bag options.

Just wanted to say thank you to the amazing team at the sleepstore. The sleep and settling advice i have read on your site has been a big help - so many great resources. I am also very impressed with your prompt service, firstly i ordered an ok babe sleeper for my sister to use with her 18 month old and then the Save Our Sleep book for me with my 3 month old, both arrived the next day. Both my sister and I were getting pretty worn out trying to get out little ones to sleep so having the parcels arrive on our doorstep so quickly was fantastic. "Hi Louise, I attended your seminar last Thursday, on how to get your baby to sleep through the night. It has been totally life changing for us. I could not wait to get home from this seminar to start putting things into practice!

We have a delightful baby boy, Denan who is now 23 weeks old. Up until last Thursday we had had a total of three full nights sleep from him. My husband and I were getting up to him from anywhere from once to four times a night, often to feed him, cuddle him and settle him back to sleep.

From last Thursday, he has slept through every night (last night he slept for 12 hours!!) It has been amazing - and a lot easier than I thought it would be.

We have used the verbal reassurance technique, which has allowed him to self settle. We have not used his dummy to settle him to sleep either - which he used to rely on. We also have started placing him in his sleeping bag for every sleep, and use a small comforter toy for him to hold. We are still dreamfeeding him at around 10pm.

The first night he woke once, and had self settled back to sleep after we went in and spoke to him within 5 minutes. During the day he is an absolute dream to settle now, mostly within 5 - 10 mins.

The only exception being when Denan got completely over tired, and just would not settle, that was a true test and after a hour and half (and a glass or two of Sav - like you suggested hehe) he went off to sleep.

Thank you again for all of your knowledge, expertise and willingness to share to others. We are so grateful for all of your advice, and so excited to be able to get a good nights sleep!!

"I now have a 41/2 month old baby who self settles to sleep and in general is now a pretty good sleeper. However it wasn't always like this, the first 2 months I spent all my days attempting to get him to sleep and then to go back to sleep after hiw 45 minute sleep cycle. As many of you can appreciate this is hard hard work!!! After recieiving a super easy guide to self settling from my local Karitane nurese, the sleepstore and it's advice became like my baby sleep bible, so many useful tips. Sometimes they were the solution and sometimes they weren't. However these tips were like the light at the end of the tunnel. The swaddling proved to be one of the best tips, I used the dream swaddle (absolutely fantastic and so easy to use!!) and we have now transitioned onto a woolbabe sleeping bag. I found this to be an easy transition because in a way the dream swaddle was like a sleeping bag with your arms wrapped up!!

I use the save our sleep routine and have found the book really great, especially as it gives you many ways to just 'tweak' some sleep habits i.e catnapping and early waking.

Thanks sleep store, you service has been wonderful and I reccommend you to most other mums that I talk so. For those mums out there who are having trouble, just remember 'tommorrow is another day!'

"Thank you for the really quick delivery of my Woolbabe duvet sleeping bags.  My little boy looks very cosy and warm and I'm really glad I bought two as they take a couple of days to dry properly at this time of year.  I also have a summer weight Go Go Bag and I must say I prefer the Woolbabe over the Go Go Bag, simply for the fact the Woolbabe has a two way zip and I find it quicker and easier to get my wriggling little boy in and out of the sleeping bag using the zip from the top, wheras I can only zip from the bottom with the Go Go Bag.

Thank you for your help and service regarding my order of the boys Snugtime sleepsuit. We bought one of these last year for our 1 year old son Jake and it was so great, knowing he was always covered up in the night, even when he wriggled and jiggled around all over his cot!

This year I was looking for them in the shops, and then found the website-wonderful to get the same suit again and Jake loves the rocket picture on it as he thinks it is like the one off TV's "The Go Show"! I can put him in just a long sleeve singlet in it or in light pj's and know he will be ok in the night. I always worry all night if he is warm enough.

There are other kinds of sleepsuits on the market I have looked at, but knowing these are the right ones for the cold with the special "tog" rating, makes me feel more comfortable about them, and they are made well and use the right fabric's too.

The email's and customer service I have received has been great and so helpful and friendly. I have already told my family and friends too.

I just received my toddler sleeping bags, bedtime story and free CD today and just wanted to say thank you so much for the prompt service! I cant wait to put Jayden in them! I could not be without his sleeping bags!

I also wanted to say a massive thank you for your advice that you gave me a while back at one of your workshops with a follow up email from me about the sleeping issues that I was having with Jayden, he is now sleeping through the night consistently for the first time ever! and will happily play in his cot in the morning before I get him up for the day. Sorry its taken me so long to get back to you on your email about putting all the dummies in the cot etc.

I also have a friend that has rocked her 1 1/2 year old to sleep for every sleep since birth and then would take him into her bed in the middle of the night every night and was at her wits end, I emailed her the link to your site and also gave her some tips that I learnt at your workshop about sitting with him etc until he went to sleep, she now has a proper bedtime routine and he has slept in his cot all night for the last 5 nights so she feels like a new woman! ;-)

I've used your online shop several times now and 3 things stick out.  Firstly, your service is always very professional and goods arrive promptly.  Secondly the products we have received are excellent quality and I trust that products you sell have been selected by you for their excellent design, materials and are fit for purpose.  And thirdly, at each stage of my childs development you seem to have all the stuff I need.

 

My 15mth old was absolutely thrilled with the toddler pillow we recently purchased and I find her with her head on the pillow in the morning as I left her, not lying at some random angle in the cot.  We also love the kindercot we purchased and took with us to Europe it was so light and able to be packed in the suitcase with ease, and when we arrived exhausted at the other end to be able to open the bag and pop up the cot instantly was heaven.  I don't think I'd of had the energy left to 'assemble' a regular portacot.  It really helped that the kindercot has zip over windows so my toddler could figure out that even though it was summer and shining brightly outside it really was time for her to go to bed.

I recently bought one of your Snugtime sleep suits for my 15mth old son. I was a bit hesitant to buy it as it is made of polar fleece and I have always had him sleep in natural materials, but it was such a bargain I couldn't resist getting one! He has slept in it a number of times and he doesn't seem to have overheated at all, which was my main concern with using a less-breathable fabric. He even slept his longest stretch ever (11.5hrs) on Sunday night in the sleep suit - not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but it was great anyway.
Your service is really good - the suit arrived very quickly and the chocolate bar was appreciated! I would happily shop from your website again.

We recently purchased the ‘Baby OK Sleeper’ for our 20 month old daughter. We were finding she ‘travelled’ up the cot over the course of the night, and although she slept in a sleeping bag (so was kept warm) she was becoming uncomfortably positioned at the top corner of the cot. The Baby OK Sleeper took 2 nights for her to grow accustomed to the ‘restriction’, but since then has been able to move quite freely from side to side and prone, but stays comfortably in the middle of the cot. We instituted a few other ‘sleep routine’ changes around this time but we believe the Baby OK Sleeper has made the biggest difference to the quality of her sleep – and of course…ours!

Also, it is great that we can adjust the sheet to fit a single bed – which we will be transitioning her to sometime soon.

just had to write to let you know that as always goods arrived really promptly and am rapt with them. I had read the great reviews of the miracle blanket on your website and thought it was worth a try as I was struggling to keep my son swaddled in the night and he was often waking himself with his startling. I had tried lots of different wraps and wrapping methods but not found anything that could survive his constant wriggling. I have had the blanket 2 nights and cant believe the results, 9 hours both nights, up until this point i had only had more than 3 hours in a row and more than 5 hours over a whole night on a handful of occassions and my son is 8 weeks old so was starting to feel pretty jaded. I cant believe it and am absolutely stoked, the blanket definately deserves its fabulous reputation. Would definately recommend them to anyone with a baby suffering from colic or reflux as this is also the first time we have been able to get our baby to sleep on his back during the night.

The wee merino suit is gorgeous and will make a fabulous present for my wee nephew and although I have a full set of mokopuna gear will definately be investing in one myself in the future.

Thank you again for not only amazing products but also amazing service. I will continue to recommend your store to all my friends and will definately be telling all new mums to be that the miracle blanket is a must have item.

Just wanted to give you some feedback after that little seminar you did at the Parents place.  At the time I was getting up 4-6 times a night to put the dummy back in and your advice was that she had to learn how to do it herself.  So after adding 7 dummies in the cot, the airwrap and the nightlight....she had worked it out after only two nights - YAY!!!!!!  It's totally wonderful being able to sleep all night....not have to rush in and also when she does cry now I know it's becuase she's wet or uncomfortable etc etc!  So  totally brilliant - thanks so much!

We wanted to let you know that we absolutely love the Sleeptite cotton mattress protector (that you had custom made for us).
I just wish we had purchased it when Sophie was first born! It makes her cot so much more comfortable - plus it holds the fitted/bottom sheet into place properly (no more creases or crinkles). Sophie is definitely sleeping better. So thanks very much for the great service and advice.

They should make this for adult beds as well - we would get one for ourselves if they did!!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the help and advice you gave me yesterday over the phone (I called about using my miracle blanket in the day and 5am wake times!)

Miller (my 9 week old son) slept perfectly yesterday after about a week of snoozes! he had three good long sleeps and then proceed to sleep from 10pm until 6am! yay. I put a radio under is basinet - turned to static as you suggested too.

I've been finding it very hard to sift through all the advice I've been getting from Plunket etc - they all say different things but I felt that your advice yesterday truely made sense. And the fact that you have 3 children makes me trust your judgement!! I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all but I can not tell you how good I felt after talking to you on the phone - so thank you!

Just wanted to write an say how wonderful we have been finding the KinderKot. We recently came back from two weeks away and it was just great. A well as on that trip I have used it on weekends away and sometimes in the lounge for nap time. Everyone that sees it is so impressed at how small it is and now that I am so efficient at putting it up and down they are just blown away by how easy it is to use. Personally I would recommend this to anyone over the traditional style portacot which just take up soooooo much room! It is also priced really well which is great when you are on a tight baby budget! We look forward to using it for many years to come 

Hi,

I just want to say how great the Safe T sleep has been for us. Our son is a very active baby who is just 5 months old. He has been rolling over and trying to crawl for the past month or so. With the Safe-T-sleep I know that I can put him down to sleep on his back and that he will stay there (despite his attempts to roll over). He is a great sleeper, usually sleeping around 12 hours a night (he's probably exhausted from all that moving around!).

We have just purchased a second Safe-T-Sleep so that we can have one in his cot at all times and for when we go away on holiday. When I had to put him down to sleep in his cot without the Safe-T-sleep recently, because it was in the wash, he rolled onto his front and fell asleep. It was a bit scary to find him with his face buried in the mattress.

We also love the gro-bags. He was continually pulling his blankets over his face or kicking it off and so the gro- bag has been an ideal solution. We have them in different weights for various weather conditions so I always know that he will be a comfortable temperature.

Not to go on, but we also have the white noise CD which I have used since he was very little and still use for him now. It is great for letting him know that it is time to sleep and for masking noise from outside during the day.

Oh wow,

This is an email I have been meaning to send for months. In January this year when my boy Oliver was about 6 months of age I was having a lot of problems getting him to sleep at night as well as sleeping through the night. I had no real routine other than a four hourly feeding routine during the day and a bedtime that was ‘when he was tired’- anywhere from 6.30pm to 11pm which was the worst night. Because it was summer and we were often in the pool in the afternoons with him, some nights we’d bath, some nights we wouldn’t. So we had no established evening wind down routine either. My husband and I were at each other constantly and I was wrecked and starting to resent our little boy.

In desperation I was ‘Googling’ sleep solutions and came across your website. Initially I emailed with some questions and got some helpful advice back from Louise. I also invested in a sleeping bag and a book called ‘Save our sleep’. The book was a godsend and put me on track with routines as well as giving me the confidence to make some changes that helped me get Oliver sleeping through the night. Initially things were still rocky but over a period of about 2 weeks we started to get some predictability back into our lives and Oliver started to sleep through the night. I can happily say he is a happy boy who reliably sleeps 12 hours (unless he is sick). He sleeps easily in a portacot as well so long as we follow his evening bath, bottle bed routine.

I wished I had known about your website and all the fantastic information and resources before Oliver was born – I wouldn’t have got to the stage I was at. I am grateful that such a resource exists and tell anyone I know having a baby to check out the website. With our second baby due next year, I feel so much more confident that we won’t have a repeat of the months of broken sleep that we had with Oliver. Armed with my great sleep knowledge I am so much more confident already about the challenge having a second baby.

I tried the white noise that was suggested as I'd had put my baby to bed for her last arvo nap at 5.30 and of course she woke at 45 mins and grizzled then it turned into a full blown cry, I went in and turned on the white noise and she was asleep in a matter of minutes! I turned it down a little and she slept for another 2 hours! magic!

Used it this morning to settle her back too, I'd rather use this than a dummy , though we have used the dummy on occasion to calm her ready for sleep.

Thankyou SO MUCH for your advice! My baby is now sleeping through the night from 7pm till 7am (with a dreamfeed at 10pm). He sometimes wakes between 5am and 7am but he goes back to sleep... i think he wakes because he is cold so we are using a blanket as well as his gogo bag. He is also feeding ALOT better which is good for me! And the daytime routine is good too... we cant quite stick to it exactly because i struggle to keep him awake for longer than 1.5 hrs but it's a good guide.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the time you took to send me such a helpful email! I came across your website when I was searching the internet to see if we had such a thing here in New Zealand as a sleep clinic for babies (a last resort).

Like you suggested, we scattered our baby's cot with dummies and we have become vigilant about putting her to bed with "mousie" (as opposed to comfort blankie).

But the best move has been the Babe Sleeper! We have had this device (which I was worried was going to look like a straight jacket) for two nights, and she has "slept through" both nights! She has now just gone down for her morning sleep with no fuss and I am hopeful that she will do the same this afternoon. Thanks for the prompt delivery of the miracle wrap early last week. My baby has just turned 9 weeks and has been sleeping and settling well at night with a maximum of 5.5 hours before a feed was required which I have been happy with (she was waking 2 – 3 times a night).

I purchased the miracle wrap because she seemed to be getting her arms out of all the others I don’t know whether it is pure coincidence but the first night that she was in the miracle wrap, she slept a total of 11 hours!!!! 7pm – 6 am. She repeated the same the next night, and has continued to have long sleeps. I’m shocked at how she went from 5.5 hrs and is now making it from 9 to 11 hrs before needing a feed – I can only guess that the miracle blanket has been the major change with her – THANK YOU!!!!!!! Ps – she also seems to be settling a LOT quicker for her sleeps during the day – another thing I think the wrap is helping with.

I am now recommending this wrap to all of my ‘baby friends’.

I purchased one for my son when he was born and found it the best thing I had - made it so easy to swaddle and there was no getting out of it! Hi Louise

I have been meaning to write to you for ages and let you know of the progress we have had with Toby and his waking time in the morning.

Toby is now waking about 6.20-6.45am instead of 5.00-5.30am, which is just wondeful.

We opted to use the cry it out method, it took on morning of intense crying 7 minutes to be precise and he has never woken again before 6am!

So thanks heaps your a real gem.

Sleeping bag, dream feed, and due to following your advice since he was born, he already has a lovely stinky teddy that he nuzzles into. Hi Louise,

Just thought I would send you a long overdue update - the gremlins are sleeping thru the night! Before we came to see you they had slept thru one night, and were generally waking around 4am for a feed. Now they go down at 7pm, have a dream feed around 10.30pm then sleep thru till around 7am. Occasionally I hear one of them (I suspect Sienna, but I don't go in and check!) rustling and chattering on the baby monitor, but they resettle themselves.

I'm still fully swaddling Mercedes, and swaddling Sienna with one arm out during the day, and full swaddle at night. She likes to suck the back of her wrist. I play lullabies on repeat for them during day sleeps, and turn them off when I get them up for the dream feed so they have no music during the night. We're still using the mobiles when they first go down.

Overall, I have to say they are almost perfect sleepers (almost!). So thank you so much for all your help - the one arm out wrap was t he answer to Sienna's problem with fighting the swaddle. It is soooo nice to be finally getting a decent nights sleep (given that I had 4 mths of shocking sleep BEFORE they were born with being so big during pregnancy!).

Hi Louise, I've tried your suggestion, and well... let's say that the boy is really

really wriggly! Sometimes I wonder whether I should stop swaddling him, but he

slept very well when he is swaddled. he usually will try to get out of it when

he is over tired or when he wakes up.

It is working fine so far, and the suggestion re the first wing over both arms

really does it for him. He is growing bigger too, so might only fit into the

small one for another week or two!

Katie Whyte here, Daryn's Mum. You gave me some advice on how to get Daryn to sleep through the night, well it has worked and he is now sleeping through !!!. Instead of giving him milk when he wakes, he is now getting water and Daryn is only up for 10 minutes at the most and then is straight back to sleep and wakes at 6.45am which is fine by us.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for getting the Babe Sleeper out to us so quickly - it arrived Xmas eve, and since the day after boxing day, my super active baby has been sleeping 11-12 hours at night...we can't believe it!!!

It took a little bit of encouragement the first couple of nights as she was anxious about the restriction, but now she seems to feel safe and secure, and the most I have to do is a quick pat to settle her. She falls asleep by herself, and finally, 10 months old, gets some deep sleep. And the results of this are showing during the day, she is suddenly so much more adventurous!

Hi Louise, I would just like to say, thank you so much!!! My son Reece was 10months old when I purchased a sleeping bag off you. At that stage he still needed to be wrapped (plus restrained with a Safe-T-Sleep) and was getting out and needing to be re-wrapped about 3 times a night.

After getting your sleeping bag, we managed to get him sleeping with one arm out and finally with both arms out and no safe-t-sleep.

recommending the Babe Sleeper - Attached Sleepbag. Ava is almost back to

being herself again after being restless, and hard to settle for the last

month. She was waking several times during the night (after previously being

a good baby and never waking at all during the night!), and would kick all

blankets off and start crawling around the cot.Thanks to your Babe Sleeper,

I can now zip her up and walk away and she will put herself to sleep, and

not stir all night. She goes down at 7pm might wake around 6am for a quick

feed and then goes back to sleep until 8am!!! What a lucky mum I am once

again, and Ava is much happier too.

It did take maybe 2 or 3 sleeps for her to get completely used to it, but

now it's like magic. I also think, as she was swaddled/wrapped for the first

5-6 months of life, she prefers to sleep in the Babe Sleeper as she feels

that same comfort as she did with being wrapped. She's back to a much deeper

sleep, and now doesn't wake if she hears us enter the room. Louise, I cant

thank you enough. It's soooo worth it - I just wish I'd used it sooner, and

saved myself some stressful and sleep deprived nights.

Thanks again for your awesome newsletter Louise. I used the technique regarding sleep associations to get our (then) 15mth old to sleep through the night. She was still waking so many times in the night we lost count. We simply made small gradual changes (the first of these was so stop feeding her to sleep using Elizabeth Pantley’s ‘gentle removal plan’) so that she was placed in her cot drowsy rather than asleep – with a bit of a back or head rub if needed – and no crying involved. After being consistent and patient, she now wants to be put in her cot after her bedtime stories to finish winding down before falling asleep on her own! Amazing, I never thought I’d see the day!! Hi Louise, I bought one of those summer weight waffle weave sleeping bags (with pink giraffe on it) and Emma loves it. She uses it for every sleep and has helped with her not kicking the blankets off anymore. She also still loves her huggacub. She is now sleeping through the night (has been for 3 months), and if she does wake up then she can get herself back to sleep with minimal grizzling - YAY - and she is also sleeping for 1-2 hours during the day. Hi Louise, Just wanted to let you know that Sophia slept through the night for the very first time last Thursday, and has consistently done so since. She has been going to bed now with no fuss and without being fed to sleep. She is a much more enjoyable baby now that she is getting adequate sleep, less clingy and grumpy. Hi Louise. I have been meaning to write you for a while to give you an update and say thanks. While we are still ironing out a few small problems, things are much better. Tai is sleeping much better during the day and at night.

The Babe Sleeper is fantastic. I am so glad I got it before Tai started pulling himself up to stand as I remember what an ordeal it was when my older boy started doing that.

Tizzie Hall’s book is really good too, I have gotten a lot from that. I think I may order another one to give to a pregnant friend once she is a bit further along.

I really do want to thank you for the help and advice you gave me when I contacted you. I was really desperate and you responded so quickly and provided so much information when you didn’t even know if I was going to order anything. You really do provide excellent service and I will be recommending your site to people I know that have little ones. You were a God sent (literally) at a time that I was really struggling. Hi Louise

Thanks for the advice. Funny that some of the things you mentioned but I had stopped doing. I thought Paige had outgrown being wrapped, but she's simply outgrown the blanket I was using! I wrapped her last night in a cot sheet and YEE HA we all had a good nights sleep.

Also I used to put on a relaxation cd when she was smaller. I was putting it on when she went to sleep, but more so for me to relax. So last night that was set on repeat in her room.

The routine will help everyone with knowing exactly what's going on, so that's great thanks.

Hi Louise. A few months back I won a swaddling wrap and a copy of "The Happiest Baby on the Block" DVD through Parents Centre. Our second child, Leo, arrived on August 15th and has been pretty good. Then last week I finally got around to watching the DVD. My mother in law was also there. I was really impressed by what I saw and immediately dug out the wrap to try swaddling Leo. I have been amazed at how easy it is to settle him! And my Mother in law has since recommended the DVD to at least two other people. Even better - last night I got a 6 hour sleep out of him! Hi Louise, Thanks for your email and the article on sleep when out and about. We bought the cotton SwaddleMe, as I can’t wrap to help myself and I’ve found it very good for getting my son to sleep when I’m out, whether he’s in the capsule or the buggy. Previously, he barely slept when I was out, which made him very cranky. Thank you for the SwaddleMe, as he now associates it with sleep and it’s great to have him sleeping in public rather than screaming in public (because he’s overtired.) Hi Louise , Well I had to email you to let you know that Phoebe slept through the night last night!!!! I can’t believe it and hope that it’s not just a one off. But the most astounding thing is that she didn’t need her dummy at all. She happily went off to sleep without it and never woke up for it… Bizzare. Hi Louise, Thought I’d let you know how things are going with Isaac. He is a dreamy baby now, and we are well settled into feed play sleep each time he’s up. He as 3rd child has many of his sleeps in the carseat but I am keeping him well wrapped and he transitions well if I do manage to get home and put him in his bed. The swaddling is going well (although hubby is still struggling to master the technique and Isaac manages to escape 90% of the time) J and he knows the difference between night and day. It is very hard not to be drawn into him gooing and smiling at me at 4am though, but we are managing to get him doing 6 or 7 hour stretches most nights. After struggling through the first four weeks with a newborn who would stay awake for up to seven hours in a row, we adopted Dr Karp’s theories, and our baby learned to sleep. Instead of rocking, walking, patting, singing, praying etc, we now wrap Hunter, pop in a dummy, turn up the static on the radio, give him a few good “shhhhh”s and he’s out. The swing is worth its weight in gold for those times he occasionally still fights sleep i.e. the 4pm nap (he is napping in his swing as I type). If only I had known this from the start, like you said – why don’t they give out his stuff when you’re in the hospital?” Olivia

Hi, I dont want to speak to soon but ...... for the last 3 days Christopher has had 2 sleeps!!!! In the afternoon i actually had to wake him once because he had slept for 1 3/4 hours and it was 4.30 pm!!! So I think I must have been putting him to bed too early and then after waiting and getting him up was actually the time that he was getting ready to go to sleep!! Ahhh. First babies really are for experimenting on aren't they!!! Thanks very much for your help and be sure that I will contact you again when (and not if!!!!) I need your help again. 'Hi Louise, I am just writing to let you know I will definately be buying your sleep CD next week, and to let you know, after following the basic guidelines you sent me for her daily routine, we once again had a good nights sleep. Instead of her mobile, we tried our Motzart CD, and made sure she was wrapped correctly. She went down at 7pm, and it took approx 30 mins again, and one re wrap as she busted an arm out, but she slept until 6.30am this morning. This is the second night we have had this now and I feel a million dollars for it. Thanks again, will be intouch next week for the CD order. Tani :)

He has been having great sleeps - I think this is because he used to wiggle his arms out and get a fright, hence waking up. 'hi louise.. just wanted to let you know zavier is doing well during the day (and at night as well of course), he is going down for at least 2 afternoon naps/sleeps good as gold!!! one at lunchtime, one a little later. i no longer am hearing him cry and winge for 40 mins or so, its great! the pattern is down by 9am as you suggested and he is doing anywhere from approx 50min to 1 1/12hours!! then he is having 2nd bottle at 11.15-11.30 and back down by 12-12.30 depending what time he has woken from morning sleep, then if he only sleeps for an hour or so over lunchtime, he is tired and back down by 2pm and up before 3rd bottle at 3-3.30pm. yesterday and a couple of other days he has done 1 1/2 and 2hours when gone down at lunchtime!!! amazing!!!

i am wrapping him again although he doesnt like his arms in so he is wrapped under the arms right down to his legs and i tuck the wrap under his feet once in bed. this is how we wrapped him when he was a wee bubba! he does have a short catnap in his rocker early evening while we have dinner and before his final bottle and bedtime, it is only 1/2 hour max, as dont want this interferring with his sleep time for night. he has always done this though which suits us. so once again thanks so much for your advice, really appreciated! kelly easton.'

'Hi Louise. I got the wrap (SwaddleMe) in the mail and LOVE it. As soon as it came i put it in Lulu's carseat as i was about to do the dreaded and wake her during her nap to head off to my eldests music class. I put lulu in it and rewrapped her and she went right back to sleep. That has never happened. Last night was her first night in it and i didnt open it all night. Thanks again. Melissa

I’m not exactly sure what the secret has been – perhaps our perseverance and consistency. The Pantley toddler book has been extremely helpful with lots of useful information. I’ve also just leant out my baby version to a friend. We have finally achieved more ‘sleeping through’ nights than interrupted nights which is just amazing. 7pm to 6am last night has been her record. 'Thanks very much for replying to my email. Just to let you know that I have been trying your suggestions. I'm putting Christopher to bed between 9 and 9.30 and he is going to sleep without crying!! yay!! Christopher sleeps about an hour to an hour 20 minutes. In the afternoon I have been putting him down a bit earlier than I was (now around 1pm - 1.30pm)/ Just a little bit of complaining and then sleep (about an hour again). So it is better than we were getting!! Lets hope he keeps it up. I think your web site is great and the information you have on it is really informative.
