These pacifiers are made from pure, dried natural rubber (not latex) from the Hevea Brasiliensi tree.
The difference betaween natural rubber and conventional latex is that no chemicals or artificial ingredients are used in this process, just water, air and high temperatures. They have been certified by OKO to be free of any chemicals such as mercaptobenzene or N-Nitrosamine (unlike other pacifiers).
These are extremely hygienic because they are molded in one piece. This means there is no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. The pacifier shield is larger than conventional shields to help protect babies from squeezing the flexible material enough to get into their mouth.
Contains no artificial colours
No chemical softeners, parabens, PVC or phthalates
Rubber pacifiers are naturally softer than silicone
Contains no hormone disrupting chemicals
Pacifiers come in two shapes, Orthopaedic (which is designed to follow the contours of baby’s tongue, palate, gums and lips smoothly) and the Nature Form.
For safety reasons pacifiers should be replaced every 4-5 weeks or at the first signs of wear e.g. furrows, scratches, "gumminess", teethmarks or even tiny holes.
Care instructions: Pacifiers should be boiled in water for 2 minutes before using for the first time. Afterwards they should be scalded on a daily basis, but not in the dishwasher. The pacifiers will slightly change colour during use.
