The Girasol ring sling - a wonderful alternative or addition to a wrap or buckle carrier! So compact, quick to use and beautiful to look at.

Girasol ring slings are hand-woven and much loved around the world.

This ring sling is made in a classic twill weave with specially made aluminium quality rings. It has the most popular gathered shoulder. Due to the simple but amazing mechanism of the double rings, the ring sling can be put on quickly and safely.

Giraol Ring Slings can be used from birth (also suitable for premature babies with help from a certified consultant) and is often the perfect introduction for anyone who wants an uncomplicated start to babywearing. Even exhausted walking babies are happy to be carried short distances in the ring sling!

Thanks to its small pack size, it fits in practically any handbag or backpack.

About Girasol Wraps, Slings and Carriers:

All Girasol products, whether the MySol® and WrapMysol carriers or wraps and ring slings, are 100% handmade. This begins with the dyeing of the yarns, continues with the weaving of the fabrics and ends with the tailoring of the carriers. Our baby carriers were developed in cooperation with babywearing advisors and our tailors use a specially developed pattern.

Girasol has worked with small cooperatives and handicraft enterprises in Guatemala for decades. This gives us handmade products of outstanding quality, and on the other hand, regular and continuous orders enable many families to earn an income and improve their quality of life.

Weaving on traditional hand looms is also traditionally anchored in the Mayan culture and we are lucky to be able to rely on such great expertise and craftsmanship of our staff.

Sizing Information

Sizing Chart

Girasol Slings are made in two sizes - Size 1 - 1.70 m and Size 2 - 2.00 m, each measured to the short side. The required length of the sling depends mainly on the build of the person wearing it. The sling should fit around your body like a sash.

As a general rule:

Size 1 - 1.70 m (measured to the short side) and is suitable for dress sizes XS - L

Size 2 - 2.00 m (measured to the short side) and is suitable for dress sizes XL +

Please let us know if you preferred size is not available, we may be able to order it in for you however these do take about 6-8 weeks.

This is Girasol's instructionl video on You Tube. It is in German but you don't need the text to follow along, You'll also receive pictorial instructions with your sling or can book a lesson with us.

Washing instructions

Machine washable up to 60 degrees.
To protect the material and the environment, we recommend washing at 40 degrees and using mild detergent.
Due to the rings, please wash in a laundry net or pillowcase and use a low spin speed (max. 900 revolutions).
Please never use fabric softener!
Not suitable for tumble drying because of the rings.

We offer fast, economical shipping across New Zealand. All items on our website are in stock, ready to dispatch (excludes pre-order or custom size items). Most orders arrive within 1-3 business days. Auckland shipping is generally overnight or you can choose Click and Collect.

Shipping starts from $5 for small items. Just add your items to your cart and use the Shipping Estimator in the Mini Cart or Cart with your post code. Please double check your shipping in the checkout, particularly for large items which the estimator doesn’t accurately calculate.

We ship with Courier Post & Fastway. Packages are sent Non-Signature Required unless over $350 value or you request Signature Required for security concerns. If you are rural, we don’t charge extra but please do include a note on your order so we can ticket your package correctly. Please allow additional days for rural or you are ordering during holiday periods or major promotions.

Large Furniture is shipped using a designated furniture delivery service with two person delivery to the door.
