Meet the Mabē Monarch Carrier
The Monarch Carrier is Mabē's signature structured baby carrier. Depending on the colour, it is made from either 100% cotton or a breathable cotton-linen blend, giving it a soft, natural feel with a contemporary look.
Fully adjustable shoulder straps, waistband and carrier panel help create a supportive fit for both parent and child. The waistband accommodates approximately XS–3XL, extending to around 140cm.
The manufacturer weight-tests the carrier from 3.2kg to 16kg. However, The Sleep Store's Babywearing Consultants find the Monarch fits most babies best from around 3–4 months because of its longer back panel and seat width.
Different carrying positions as baby grows
The Monarch offers three carrying positions to suit different developmental stages. Baby can be carried front inward-facing, while back carrying can be introduced from around six months once your little one can sit independently.
An outward-facing position can also be used once baby is at least six months, sitting independently and tall enough for their chin to clear the carrier panel. The Sleep Store recommends limiting outward-facing carries to shorter periods.
