Our business have a number of different parts, with the majority of team members working across most parts of The Sleep Store Group. We are made up of the following parts:
Our original business founded in 2006. eCommerce focused on baby and kids products with a strong focus on safe sleep and sleep products. We are pureplay online but also run a number of in-person warehouse sales and attend multiple baby expo/show events in Auckland and around the country.
This is our distribution business, supplying approx 200 retailers across New Zealand and Australia. We focus our wholesale offering on baby and kids brands as well as some related lifestyle and wellbeing products. Â
This is our premium merino and organic cotton sleepwear brand. Sold direct to consumer through www.woolbabe.com, The Sleep Store and many retailers across NZ and Australia. Famous for our sleeping bags and sleeping suits, along with super popular baby, kids and adult sleepwear.Â
Our youngest brand, Nestling has quickly become a popular lifestyle brand in New Zealand. Our key categories for Nestling are Swimsafe Neon swimwear for kids, Stainless lunchboxes and kids dinnerware and a wide range of wet and swim bags.
Founded in 2021, this is our community organisation with a mission to promote safe babywearing. We create educational content, run multiple social pages, in-person education and cooperate with other parentingÂ

If you are interesting in joining The Sleep Store team, here's some information on the type of work we do and how our team is organised. Our teams work across the business and are organized into these teams:
Operations & Customer SupportÂ
This is our largest team and where most work opportunities come up. This team looks after all stock coming into our warehouse, stock management, picking and dispatching orders as quickly as possible. This team also includes our expert customer support team who answer all messages through our socials, phone, email and live chat.
Sales
Our sales team take care of all our sales and marketing activity across all brands. This includes our websites, social media, advertising and wholesale sales. Our sales team are highly ethical in all they do, with educational content made as often as sales messages and safe sleep always top of mind.
Creative & Brand
This team takes all our beautiful photos, designs our packaging, creates all our marketing assets and looks after our long-term brand strategies
Production
A small but mighty team who design and produce all products made under our own labels - The Sleep Store, Woolbabe and Nestling. This includes working with overseas and local manufacturers, designing products and patterns and listening to what our customers want to see added to our range.

The Sleep Store Team Values were developed by our team through a collaborative exercize many years back. These determine how we work, what's important to us and give our customers and suppliers insight into our business.Â

We were the first retailer in New Zealand to become an accredited Living Wage Employer, which is usually $4-5 higher than the minimum wage. This is our starting wage for all staff over 16 years old.Â
