Do the lactation bars actually work?

You tell me that they do! The Lila Jasmine bars are full of galactagogues which are ingredients traditionally used to increase breast milk supply but we make no promises that these will improve your supply - after all, we're all different. However, I do promise to bake you a delicious lactation bar (NZ's ONLY lactation bar) that we believe is superior to all others and what's more is you don't have to be lactating to eat it, it's a great snack for mums who aren't breastfeeding, supportive partners and helpful siblings. The bars are designed to eat on-the-go, deliberately individually wrapped so you can have one with you anywhere + eat it anytime. You could try crumbling one + serving with yoghurt + fresh fruit or warming one for 20 seconds in the microwave + serving with custard or ice-cream

What is a galactagogues?

A galactagogue is a substance used to increase breastmilk supply. The Lila Jasmine lactation bars have the following galactagogue ingredients -

• Brewers yeast
• Oats
• Chia seeds
• Linseed

How many bars should I eat?

Lila Jasmine don't recommend eating more than 1 in a day and think 1 every other day is a good place to start. You can increase or decrease your consumption from there depending on your response.

Are the bars dairy free or gluten free?

Yes, these lactation bare are dairy free. No, these lactation bars are oat based and are not gluten free.

Do I have to be breastfeeding to eat them?

No! What's great about these is they make a great snack for anyone - mums, dads, children, even grandparents. When we formulated these bars with food technology experts the brief was -

Do the bars have an expiry date?

Yes - all bars are stamped with a best before date. They have a 12 month shelf life from the date of production
