Description

The BIBS Anatomical Pacifier has the signature round BIBS shield. It has 3 vent holes and made from 100% safe food-grade material that is designed to curve away from your baby's face and nose to allow for air circulation and prevent skin irritation.

The nipple is made from natural rubber latex and is an anatomical nipple. It is curved at the top for a natural fit to your baby's palate with an angled tip for easy tongue placement. The curved top promotes a tongue placement and sucking technique where the sides of the tongue cup around the nipple, as it does during breastfeeding. The angled tip means that baby does not need to suck as hard for the nipple to flatten inside the mouth. Equipped with a valve, it lets out air when the baby closes down on the nipple. There may be water inside the nipple after cleaning and sterilisation due to the valve. If this happens, simply squeeze the nipple flat to press out excess water.

Please note - Since natural rubber latex is a natural material color variation may occur.

Beautifully designed and made in Denmark, these dummies have been a much loved and trusted product in Europe for over 30 years.
Sizes: 1 (0+ months), and 2 (6+ months)

Materials & Care

  • Materials: 100% natural rubber nipple BPA Free, 100% safe food-grade PP
  • Care: Sterilize the dummy before first use. To sterilize pour boiling water over the dummy in a bowl and let it soak for 5 minutes. The dummies may get water inside the rubber nipple due to the vent hole - This is ok. Simply squeeze the nipple to remove any water that may have entered. Clean and sterilize daily. Please avoid microwave sterilizing, harsh cleaning materials and the dishwasher as it destroys the natural rubber. Sterilise in plenty of water and separate from any other materials. Renew your dummy after using it for 4-6 weeks because of safety and hygiene reasons. If your baby mistakenly gets the dummy stuck too far in their mouth, please remove the dummy gently. The three holes in the shield are to prevent suffocation. It is recommended not to dip the dummy in sugar containing products or medicine. The nipple is made of 100% natural rubber, which may rarely cause an allergic reaction.

The product complies with EU 1400 + A1 and AS 2342 (2015), the Australian standard for consumer good (Babies' Dummies and Dummy Chains). Safety standard 2017.

How to Use

Warning

:

Do not tie dummy around your baby's neck as it presents a strangulation hazard.

Always inspect the product carefully before each use. Especially if your baby has teeth.

Pull the dummy in all directions.

Discard at the first sign of damage or weakness.

Do not store dummy in direct sunlight.

Only
use a dedicated pacifier/dummy holder tested to EN 12586. Never attach
ribbons or cords to a dummy, your baby may be strangled by them.

Replacing your pacifier

We
recommend replacing pacifiers every 4-6 weeks for safety and hygienic
reasons. Inspect the pacifier for any changes in the surface, changes in
size and shape, or rupture in the material, and replace the pacifier if
you notice any differences. Pull the nipple in all directions before
use and replace the pacifier at the first sign of damage or weakness.
Keep an eye on the nipple size as latex can expand rather quickly due to
the newborn’s strong vacuum. Changes in size can create challenges when
replacing the pacifiers if the baby has gotten used to the expanded
size, which is also why we recommend replacing after 4-6 weeks.
