The ergoPouch HugMe Blanket, formerly known as the Baby Tuck Sheet is a TOG-rated alternative to loose blankets. Suitable from birth, it fits firmly and securely on a mattress to keep baby warm, calm and snug as a safer-sleep option. Made from the same soft stretch jersey as ergoPouch sleeping bags and swaddles, it is breathable, non-toxic and soft on baby’s skin.

A fitted mattress sleeve, the HugMe Blanket is easy to use and is recommended as a safer-sleep blanket. It provides added warmth, security and comfort for your newborn during sleep without the risk of coming untucked. It offers two options for warmth — simply flip the sheet over to adjust the warmth, and follow the ergoPouch What To Wear Guide (included) for help when layering. This HugMe Blanket is a 1.0 / 2.5 TOG option for additional warmth on cool nights.

Available in bassinet, bedside sleeper and cot sizes, the HugMe Blanket is suitable to use from birth* until rolling. To use, slip the Blanket over the end of the mattress like a sleeve. Lay baby under the open folds with their feet touching the end of the mattress. Zip the Blanket up to the desired firmness by using one of two zippers. You should easily be able to zip up the Blanket, and firmly fit two fingers between the Blanket and baby.

The sheet is independently tested and approved by INPAA (Infant and Nursery Product Alliance of Australia).

*The HugMe Blanket is suitable for use with babies born after 37 weeks of pregnancy, weighing a minimum of 3kg and measuring 50cm and over in length. If you have a smaller or pre-term baby who requires, or has required, special care please follow the advice from your paediatrician before using this product.

Materials: Outer: 55% Organic Cotton, 40% Bamboo Viscose, 5% Elastane Inner: 70% Bamboo Viscose, 30% Organic Cotton Made from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton that is non-toxic and gentle on irritable skin. All ergoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water based dyes.
Care: Gentle cold machine wash in mild detergent. Do not soak or bleach. Tumble Dry Low. Warm iron if required. Do not dry clean.

Place infants in their own sleep space for sleep: The HugMe Blanket is custom designed to fit a bassinet, cot/crib and bedside sleeper, encouraging parents to put baby down to sleep in their own sleep space, rather than sharing a bed with them or sleeping in a space such as a seating device, swing, car seat, or lounger
No loose blankets in the baby’s sleep space: The HugMe Blanket is a firm-fitting mattress sleeve that fits all the way around a mattress, like you would put a pillow slip on a pillow. It cannot become loose, pull up higher than baby’s chest, and is designed to fall flat against the bed if a baby wriggles their way up and out of the sheet. It is not classed as loose bedding.
Place baby on their back, in feet-to-foot position for sleep: The HugMe Blanket encourage parents to place baby in their sleep environment on their backs, with their feet at the end of the cot/crib/bassinet.
Avoid overheating baby, keep their face uncovered: The HugMe Blanket is TOG-rated, lightweight, and made from breathable organic cotton. It comes with a dressing guide to help parents understand how warmly to dress their baby for sleep. This discourages the use of quilted blankets or heavy polyester blankets that trap heat and can cause overheating in newborns, as well as suffocation if pulled over face.

The HugMe Blanket comes with the following warnings for use:

Designed for newborns who are not yet rolling.
We advise discontinuing use once babies show signs of rolling for their safety.
Do not use with more than one baby inside
Position the HugMe Blanket so that it comes no higher than mid way up baby’s chest, when baby’s feet are touching the end of the cot/crib/bassinet
Select the right sized product for your sleep space, and size of baby. When used for the right age baby (newborn, not yet rolling), the design makes it extremely difficult for the baby to pull the product towards their face, or manoeuvre their body underneath it.
