The Sleep Store Jersey Merino Zipsuit is a beautifully practical all-in-one for newborns and younger babies. Designed for both daywear and sleepwear, it’s a versatile essential that keeps little ones cosy while making life easier for parents. Made from 100% single jersey New Zealand merino wool, this zipsuit has a soft, smooth, tee shirt-like feel that’s gentle against delicate skin. It’s one of the smoothest merino fabrics in our range, with a comfortable stretch that moves with your baby and helps the garment retain its lovely shape wash after wash.

The simple double-ended zip makes those inevitable night-time nappy changes much easier. You can unzip from the bottom without removing the entire suit – perfect for babies who dislike getting fully undressed in the middle of the night. A protective zip guard helps shield little chins and skin from any irritation, adding extra peace of mind.

Thoughtfully designed with extra room through the hip area, this zipsuit comfortably accommodates cloth nappies and those adorable chunky baby bottoms. It’s ideal as a standalone outfit during the day or layered under a sleeping bag at night for cosy, breathable warmth.

Merino is naturally temperature regulating and moisture wicking, helping keep babies warm in cooler weather without overheating or becoming clammy. It’s an essential layering fibre for supporting better sleep through autumn and winter.

This product complies with the Product Safety Standard (Children’s Nightwear and Limited Daywear Having Reduced Fire Hazard) Regulations 2016 and Safety Standard AS/NZS 1249:2014 (Children's Nightwear and Limited Daywear having Reduced Fire Hazard). The requirements of the standard apply to size 3 and up only.

Care:

Gentle machine or hand wash in cold or 30°C water with a liquid wool wash
Dry immediately — lay flat or hang dry
You may notice some pilling with wear. This is normal for soft merino fibres rubbing against other fabrics (such as flannelette sheets) and is considered normal wear and tear
Protect your merino from moths and silverfish — always store clean garments, and use lavender or cedarwood as a deterrent
