The multi award-winning Front Zip Duvet Woolbabe is our most popular warm winter sleeping bag, much loved for being so easy to use and so cosy. They are ideal for bedrooms under 20 degrees, though they can be used in rooms 14 to 22 degrees by varying the clothing inside the bag.

Ideal for autumn through to spring for most of Australasia, and even summer nights in cooler homes. The Duvet Woolbabe has the heavier feel of a quilt or layers of wool blankets, with the peace of mind that comes with your baby sleeping in a sleeping bag designed with safety as a priority.

Duvet Woolbabes are filled with a luxurious merino filling, quilted with smooth organic cotton lining that makes them suitable for babies with sensitive skin. The lovely soft outer layer is the exclusive Woolbabe merino and organic cotton blend fabric.

The Front Zip model is very quick and easy to use, just pop your baby's arms through the arm-holes and zip it closed. The under-arm snaps means it is a more cosy fit when your baby it near the bottom end of the size range.

This woolbabe has a double-ended zip on the front that closes at the top and zips downwards. It can also be unzipped from the bottom for nappy changing. You can also use your Duvet Woolbabe Bag for cosy walks in your buggy, using the back buggy slot with your a 5-point harness.

Our Woolbabe products are made in China, in a small family factory who has worked with Woolbabe for over 10 years.

This product complies with the Product Safety Standard (Children’s Nightwear and Limited Daywear Having Reduced Fire Hazard) Regulations 2016 and Safety Standard AS/NZS 1249:2014 (Children's Nightwear and Limited Daywear having Reduced Fire Hazard).

Care -

Gentle machine or hand wash in cold water or 30°C water using a quality liquid wool wash
Airing your Woolbabe item daily will reduce how often it needs to be washed
Do not hot wash, rub, soak or bleach
Hang dry or low tumble dry immediately after washing - Do not leave wet in your machine
Do not hot tumble dry
Please note some shrinkage may occur with tumble drying. Not all dryers have a low enough temperature setting. Please check your machines specs before choosing this option.

Should I buy a front or side zip Woolbabe?

The main considerations are how wriggly your child is and how often you will use the travel slot. If your child is very wriggly or likes to stand up in the cot we recommend a front-zip bag, as they may otherwise pop open the shoulder domes on a side zip bag.

The travel slot in the front-zip bag is only in the back, which means that little feet are unlikely to go through the slot which can happen with a side-zip bag. However if you use the travel slot often you may prefer the slot in the front and back.

One other advantage of the side-zip Woolbabe is that it opens out completely flat. This can make nappy changing a bit easier.

Woolbabe Sleeping Bags are a strong sleep association for babies, so why not take some of that magic sleepy dust with you when baby naps on the go? Woolbabe Sleeping Bags feature a travel slot for use with the straps in a pushchair/buggy/pram (do not use in a car seat / baby capsule). You can use that strong sleep association for baby whilst keeping them safe and secure in their pram whilst you enjoy getting outdoors.
