The multi-award-winning Woolbabe summer sleeping bag is perfect for the warmer months with room temperatures of approximately 24-32°C. Made from 1 lightweight layer of the exclusive woolbabe merino + organic cotton, it is suitable for babies with eczema or sensitive skin. The merino/organic cotton sleeping bag is so soft and does not feel at all woolly or scratchy. The 30% merino content means the Woolbabe summer bag is excellent for moisture absorption as merino can absorb up to 35% of its weight in water without feeling wet. It will remain comfortable even if your baby is a little sweaty or has a leaky nappy.

The combination of wool and cotton offers the best of both worlds, with the temperature-regulating properties of merino and the breathability and easy-care of cotton. Often hot summer evenings and cooler mornings create conditions which are more difficult to gauge what your child should sleep in. The wool component of the Woolbabe fabric provides the qualities which react to changes in body temperatures, therefore keeping baby at more constant body temperature. What tog is the Woolbabe Summer Weight sleeping bag?

Our Woolbabe sleeping bags are a merino blend and are not tog-rated. This is because merino wool is a natural fibre that adjusts according to temperature. Customers who are looking for a 0.2 or 0.5 tog sleeping bag often choose the summer-weight Woolbabe sleeping bag because it can be used in similar room temperature ranges to a 0.2 or 0.5 tog sleeping bag. However, the Woolbabe summer bag covers a wider temperature range and therefore is more versatile, by simply varying the clothing layers underneath.

Woolbabe Sleeping Bags provide several benefits:

The Front Zip model is very quick and easy to use, just pop your baby's arms through the arm-holes and zip it closed. The under-arm snaps mean it is a more cosy fit when your baby is near the lower end of the size range. This Woolbabe can also be used in your buggy with a 5-point harness. It has a double-ended zip on the front that closes at the top and zips downwards. It can also be unzipped from the bottom and opened upwards for nappy changing. There is a buggy slot in the back of the bag which can be used with the double-ended zip on the front.

Care -

Gentle machine or hand wash in cold water or 30°C water using a quality liquid wool wash
Airing your Woolbabe item daily will reduce how often it needs to be washed
Do not hot wash, rub, soak or bleach
Hang dry or low tumble dry immediately after washing - Do not leave wet in your machine
Do not hot tumble dry
Please note some shrinkage may occur with tumble drying. Not all dryers have a low enough temperature setting. Please check your machines specs before choosing this option

Free 30 min Click & Collect (AKL): From our West Auckland warehouse. Order before 4pm for pick up by 5pm. Click & Collect open 9.00am – 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Same Day Dispatch: We aim to dispatch all orders placed before 1:00pm NZT, Monday to Friday, on the same business day. This excludes public holidays and high order volume promotional periods.

Delivery times: Most NZ orders arrive overnight (business days only). South Island allow up to 3 business days. Large deliveries will take longer. AU Delivery time is approx 3-6 working days into main cities, and 5-7 working days outside main centres. We cannot guarantee any of these times.

Standard Delivery: Free on orders over $120 (excluding bulky items). Shipping starts at $8 (within NZ) and $15 (to AU) based on weight and postcode.
